Originally Posted 8.12.2010 “day to day..”

yesterday was a crappy day..i had an appointment with an oncologist that was filling in for mine while she is away. I know this doctor is “notorious” for running every test known to man, so right off the bat i was getting an ekg because i mentioned a bit of chest pain and some twinges in my head. She basically said that the drug that i was supposed to have received yesterday (Avastin) wasnt really going to do me anygood..( My risks in her mind outweigh the benefits)..anyways..i wasn’t upset that she postponed the treatment “so much” but that she was absolutely diasgreeing with my oncologist about the efficacy of Avastin..i used a few curse words (outside of her office of course) and thank goodness Jessica M. was there and my saucy social worker, Roz came in for the last few minutes to calm me down..
in the end..i didn’t get the treatment and am trying to get first thing next week when my doctor comes back..

Oh..and….my tumor markers went down from 33 to 8!!!!!!!!!!!
