the next concern was getting a port..which she agreed with me that we can wait..i need to try a million different tricks before we choose to go that route..(i know i will have to at some point..but the longer i can wait the better as far as i am concerened)

lastly was the avastin and the blood thinners..despite all the hoo-ha in the news about avastin (mostly political) we are going to go ahead with this drug as well starting August 11th. (I will have to give myself a shot everyday to keep from clotting) but the drug is well worth it..studies have shown that in conjunction with chemotherapy avastin helps to reduce tumor size..

leaving early tomorrow morning for a weeks vacation on the beach with my family..im so excited..and ready to chill out..

still feeling (relatively) good? woohoooo! If drugs are going to make you feel sick, at least there are other drugs to make sure you don’t feel AS sick!

I’m glad you were able to persuade your doc to hold off on the port for a while — I think there’s lots of routes to take before you have that. (although, the people I know who have it, love it….) But it’s got to help you feel like you have a bit of control to win that victory. And also, that you were able to work with your doc to get the Avastin. You continue to rock!!
