hi there..
so my mom and sister drove in on friday night..and just left this morning..(ange went home for his dad’s 80th birthday party)..it was so nice having them here..just hanging out with me..felt achy still this morning, but have been feeling better as the day goes by..(was finally able to cut down on my pain meds)..bright and sunny day outside definitely helps my mood..although it is a bit warm out..and ive been sweating like crazy since i had the air conditioning off until a bit ago..its crazy..because i hate being hot..and i hate being cold from air conditioning.i think my naked head has made me more sensitive..i signed up last week for a “water renewal” class at the jcc, which is 2 blocks away..i had fun and laughed a lot..it wasn’t a workout..but it felt really good to be in the water..and the women (most of which were over 70) were awesome..i also signed up for a therapeutic yoga class..(im really looking forward to that one)..there is an organization called share, which stands for self-help for women with breast or ovarian cancer, and they list all of these free classes around the city..really cool..
going to go back to the couch..

I love it that organizations like share exist; the world feels like a better place because of them. Knowing that there are all of these support systems in place, helping you navigate this rocky road, kicking cancer in the ass, shows the immensity of human compassion. Most important of all, I like knowing that you have access to laughter and community. Let us know about the yoga class once you go. Love, Katie
